Luke 2:15-18 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
When I read this passage, I think of the song that says go tell it on the mountain, over the hills, and everywhere that Jesus Christ is born. The shepherds came with haste to see Jesus. After their encounter with Him, they made it widely known.
Jesus’ birth is no less miraculous today than it was over 2,000 years ago. When we share the message of His birth and what that means for us, others still marvel at its impact.
Make it widely known. Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills, and everywhere including in your home, in your office, and in your neighborhood. Jesus Christ is born. Merry Christmas!
