Throwback Thursday

It’s throwback Thursday, and I’m so glad we are not left in the past. It doesn’t seem to matter what the style is today. Twenty years from now, we will be amazed we looked like this.
Think of all advancements and improvements over the years. When I was in high school, my princess phone still had a cord connecting it to the wall. My first real job provided a typewriter with correction tape and carbon paper. My first computer had two floppy disk drives.
There is also a spiritual application to Throwback Thursday. In the past, we were dead in our trespasses and sins. I’m so glad we are not left there. We are now made alive with Christ. These passages from Ephesians tell us where we were and where we are now.
So where are we going? Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” God has prepared good works for each of us. We know where we were. We know where we are. Do you know where you are going? Ask God what good works he has prepared for you to do.
If you are still living in the throwback of your trespasses and sins, acknowledge Christ as your Savior. Admit your sin, recognize the consequences, accept His payment for your sins through His death and resurrection, and confess Him as your Lord.
Step into the future of God’s mercy, grace, and love.
